Myrl Lou Russell of Paris || Obituary

Myrl Lou Russell, 91, of Paris, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Brentwood Terrace Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.

Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 12 at Bright-Holland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Russell, the daughter of Marcus and Lucille Tarter McGuire, was born on Jan. 10, 1932, in Snyder.

She was a homemaker before beginning a career with Texas Instruments in Lubbock. Later she was a manicurist. Myrl was a lifelong member of Forest Heights United Methodist Church in Lubbock and was instrumental in forming a senior group called Senior Circle in Lubbock.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bill Russell, and a son, Donald Ray Tippit, Jr.

Survivors include a son, Doyle Tippit & wife Andrea, grandchildren, Devon Tippit, Michelle Tippit, and Jennifer Tippit, two brothers, Kenneth McGuire & wife Sallie and Charles McGuire & wife Judy along with several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
