Don George of Sulphur Springs || Obituary
Billy Don George was born Oct. 4, 1966, in Sulphur Springs to Earl and Melissa (Pat) Flannery George. He passed away Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Paris Regional Health. He was 56 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his daughter, Tara Dawn George of Paris, a granddaughter Holly Davoust, a grandson Alex Davoust, brothers Rickey George and wife Debra of Paris, Bobby George of Bagwell, and Eddie George and wife Susan of Clarksville. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and countless cousins to make for fun and memorable family reunions as well as loyal lifelong friends.
Bill graduated from Roxton High School in 1985. He was active in baseball, basketball and FFA. He retired from Campbell Soup in 2014. His passions were hunting, fishing, laughing and pulling all types of pranks on family and friends. Hearing the stories of his parents growing up poor touched Bill. He was compassionate for the poor and the underdog. The youngest of the notorious “George brothers” Bill enjoyed life to the fullest.
Graveside Services will be Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 10 a.m. with burial at Restland Cemetery in Roxton. Visitation afterward.
