PHS Swim Team Members Advance to State || Content sponsored by Quality Care ER

Paris High School swim team competed at the 4A Regional swim meet for Region 2 held in Frisco recently.  The top two finishers in each event advance to State. Winners from PHS advancing to State are:

Individual Races

Luke De la Garza – Regional champ in both the 200 freestyle and 100 freestyle

Kelton Varner – 2nd in the 50 free

Relay Races

Boys 200 free – Regional Champs – members Conner Avery, Jaxon Bell, Kelton Varner, and Luke De la Garza

Girls 200 free and 400 free – 2nd place – members Madeline Green, Mazy Frierson, Zarha Tapia, and Grace Moore

“These kids have worked hard to meet their goals all while doing all of their other extracurricular activities,” stated PHS swim coach Crystal Henry. “We could not have done what we have done without the support of our families, teammates, friends, teachers, and our wonderful PISD school district.”

 

The State swim meet will be held Feb. 9-10, 2023, in San Antonio.
