Texas Amber Alert discontinued – 11 month old found safe

An 11-month-old, Darla Steve has been located after being the center of an Amber Alert.

Shortly after midnight Wednesday, the Midland Police Department announced the girl had been reunited with her family.

The alert was initially issued for Steve on Tuesday evening. Law enforcement said she was last seen early Monday morning around 12:30 a.m.

Police said the suspect, Zach Smith, 29, has since been placed into custody as of 4:50 a.m. Wednesday. There are no further details on how and where Darla was found at this time.
