United Way of Lamar County and the Alzheimer’s Association to host free lunch and learn on elder law || Content Sponsored by Paris AC

The United Way of Lamar County and the Alzheimer’s Association have partnered again for a free Lunch & Learn on Friday, Feb. 24 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at CF Paris, 3410 N. Main Street.

Titled “Leaving a Legacy: Assets, Aging, and Legal Concerns” the free Lunch & Learn features Guest Speaker Lisa B. Shoalmire, Attorney and Senior Partner at Ross & Shoalmire, PLLC, an Elder Law Firm.  Topics such as estate planning, legal documents, and recognizing scams and fraud will be addressed. A panel of experts will also be available to answer questions.
Lunch will be catered by Sandwich Etc. and the event is free, but you need to pre-register at www.tinyurl.com/ParisLegal.  The first 25 registrants will be entered to win a $50 gift card (must be present to win).
United Way Executive Director Jenny Wilson explains, “We are excited to be partnering again with the Alzheimer’s Association to bring this free Lunch & Learn to Lamar County. This event is for everyone, not just those caring for those with dementia, who have legal questions specifically tied to aging.”
The free Lunch & Learn is sponsored by Healthcare Express, Paris Regional Medical Center and NE Texas Homecare.
