United Way announces new board members

The United Way of Lamar County recently announced that three new members have joined their Board of Directors: Dr. Janice Gibbons, Melissa Allen and Willy Dyck.
Dr. Janice Gibbons was born and raised in Cisco, Texas. She graduated Texas A&M University with a BS in biomedical sciences in 1991 and then went on to obtain a Doctorate of Medicine at the University of South Carolina, School of Medicine in 1996. Dr. Gibbons completed pediatric residency at University of Alabama Birmingham, and served a year as chief resident, 1997- 2001. Married to Mark Gibbons since 1991, she was his favorite med school classmate and lab partner. They have six children, ages 27-14 years. They worked and raised children in various Army towns until Dr. Mark Gibbons retired from the Army in 2011, and they moved their family to Paris. Dr. Janice Gibbons worked at Hugo Medical Clinic from 2011-2014, and then moved to her current practice the Pediatric Clinic of Paris. Hobbies include: reading, exercise, and watching the Astros.
Melissa Allen was born and raised in Paris, Texas. Ms. Allen was a teacher for 15 years before moving to her current position as the Interim Public Relations Director at North Lamar ISD. She has been married to her husband, Brandon, an AG teacher at Chisum ISD, for 14 years and together they have four sons, Huxley (13), Gantz (12), Moxin (7), and Hixton (1).
Willy Dyck was born in Ontario, Canada, but has called Paris home since the 3rd grade. Mr. Dyck is the COO of Delco trailers and also actively serves at the Lighthouse Mission Church. In his free time, he enjoys staying active whether that is in the gym or being outdoors, traveling, flying, and spending time with friends and family.
