Texas population surpasses 30 million people

According to new U.S. census data, Texas is now home to more than 30 million people. 

As of July 1, the state population was 30,029,572. This would seat Texas as the second most populous state in the country right behind California. 

Texas has added more than 470,000 residents year-over-year along with 4 million in total over the last decade. 

Texas has recently become a trending spot for people to move to, in part because of its economic growth. Many are calling Texas their new home for their corporations including Statefarm, Tesla, Hewlett Packard, AT&T, and more.
