Lamar County firefighters help fight Christmas Day fire in Honey Grove

After a building started burning down in downtown Honey Grove on Christmas day, firefighters from Delta, Fannin, and Lamar counties rushed to save the day.
According to the Fannin Office of Emergency Management, the fire was in the 300 block of South 5th street and happened just before 9 p.m. on Sunday.
Flames threatened the neighboring buildings as they grew stronger. Honey Grove firefighters asked colleagues from Leonard, Roxton, Telephone, Dodd City, Bonham, Hopewell, Brookston, Tigertown, Lamar Point and Cooper to help fight the fire.
This incident is currently under investigation.
