Tornado hits Lamar County

Yesterday, 5 tornadoes hit North Texas from a storm that potentially produced as many as 12. 

One of the tornadoes hit Paris and the community in Lamar county was ready to jump in and help clean up. Three of the tornadoes touched down in Tarrant County while there was one in Wise County. The National Weather Service concluded that all of the tornadoes came from the same parent storm. 

 The Lamar County Office of Emergency Management reported a tornado in Lamar county Tuesday morning. The tornado destroyed six buildings including one trailer manufacturing plant. They reported two minor injuries from the weather in Paris. 

The tornado comes as a surprise to many as it has been only about a month since the last confirmed tornado near Paris. It being December makes this an even rarer occurrence.
