Horizon House

It’s time once again for Horizon House Christmas. “This is our Christmas gift program for the residents of Horizon House Transitional Shelter. Our residents are men, women, and children of all ages, and we’re asking you to help make sure they have a merry Christmas this year,” said Shelly Braziel, Executive Director.

Adoption cards for the residents can be picked up starting Thursday, Dec. 8 at Nutrition Planet located at 395 Stone Ave. in Paris. Each adoption card tells you everything you need to know about the resident, including their age, size, and a few things they want and need. “You are not obligated to buy everything, but we do ask that you try to buy at least one thing they’ve asked for. Also, if you adopt a child and they’ve asked for a coat, we hope you’ll make that a priority,” added Braziel.
Once you finish shopping, please put the gift(s) in a Christmas gift sack, not wrapped, attach the adoption card to the outside of the bag and return it to Nutrition Planet no later than Dec. 21.
If you don’t have time to shop, you can make a monetary donation toward gifts and/or the Christmas party, which may be used to purchase snacks, games, decorations, and other supplies. Monetary donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 714, Paris, Texas 75461, or dropped off at 450 SW 4th street in Paris. Be sure to put Horizon House Christmas in the check memo. You can also find a square link on our Facebook page; Human Resources Council, and make a donation using a credit or debit card.
“Each year, our residents are so grateful for the generosity of the community, so thank you in advance to everyone who will help make this Christmas a merry one for our residents.” – Shelly Braziel
