A Texas woman broke into her boyfriend’s home in San Antonio and set it ablaze in the early hours of Sunday according to police.

According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, the Lytle Fire Department and the Bexar County Fire Marshal’s Office responded to the arson call on Sunday at the boyfriend’s home in San Antonio.

The homeowner alleged that 23-year-old Senaida Soto broke into the home and stole several items before setting the house on fire. A family member of the homeowner was in a romantic relationship with Soto.

According to the sheriff’s office, this act was out of a jealous rage. Soto had FaceTimed her boyfriend when another woman, who turned out to be a relative of the boyfriend, answered the phone.

Soto was video recorded lighting the couch on fire. The fire caused over $50,000 worth of damage to the home after spreading. Soto texted her boyfriend, “I hope your house is okay” during the event.

Soto was arrested on Monday. She faces burglary and arson felony charges.
