Local man arrested for alleged family violence

Paris PD Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Dickson Avenue for an open line 9-1-1 call with a female screaming and crying.
According to Alice Webb, records clerk for the department, “Upon arrival, there was no answer from knocking at the front door; but a woman could be heard crying in the back portion of the residence. Soon after, the victim ran out the front door crying.”
24-year-old Jalen Dejuan Wallace of Paris was located hiding in a corner of a bedroom. Wallace was arrested, taken into custody and booked into the Paris City Jail for Assault Family Violence Impeding Breath, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Restraint, Possession of Marijuana and outstanding Lamar County Motion to Revoke– Manufacture Delivery Controlled Substance Warran
