Clarksville ISD Superintendent, Kermit Ward heads to Vernon ISD in December

Superintendent Kermit Ward will be leaving Clarksville Independent School District for Vernon Independent School District. Ward has been with the district for 5 years.
“I consider it bittersweet that I announce my intent to depart from Clarksville I.S.D. within the next few weeks. Bittersweet simply because I have spent 5 years in this wonderful place where I have grown a high sense of attachment to the students and their families,” said Ward.
“Clarksville is in a better place financially, and academically, and in a few months will be equipped with updated facilities. The entire community should be proud of that. There still is yet so much to do in each of those areas, however. My last day here is not scheduled to be until the very front end of December. I will work co-jointly with the board to ensure a smooth transition of leadership for the benefit of all invested stakeholders within C.I.S.D,” said Ward.
