Man calls Paris Police in advance || Says he is going to assault someone with crowbar

Paris Police responded to a terroristic threats call at 8:28 p.m. on Nov. 7, 2022, where 43-year-old Anderson Jennings Harris, of Paris, called and advised that he was going to the 300 block of NW 12th St and assault someone with a crowbar.

“Officers located Harris at the location and found him to be in an altercation with a 37- year-old female. Harris had the crowbar and the female reported that Harris had lightly struck her in her arm with the crowbar. The female did not have any injuries and did not seek medical treatment,” stated OfficerCurtis Garrett.
Harris was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The altercation was over a possible theft that the female had committed from Harris’ house. Harris was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
