With October starting, leaves beginning to fall, and the cooler weather, many agree it is the perfect time to cuddle up with some popcorn and hot chocolate and watch a movie. 2. Hocus Pocus (1993), Hocus Pocus 2 (2022) – Whether you want to watch the original or Hocus Pocus 2, the string of witches are sure to make you laugh. Both of the movies will absolutely inspire nostalgia, and watching them can zap you back in time. Both Hocus Pocus and Hocus Pocus 2 are currently available on Netflix.
3. Coraline (2009) – If you’re looking for something more kid-friendly, Coraline is the perfect movie for the whole family. Following a young girl who discovers a parallel universe in her house, she finds out that this idealized version of her life holds a dark secret. Using stop-motion animation and the voice talents of Teri Hatcher and Dakota Fanning, Coraline received critical acclaim.
4. Halloween (2018)- This one is for the fans of true horror, gore, and jump scares. Halloween is a sequel to the 1978 Halloween and follows Laurie Strode as she faces Michael Myers for a final showdown after surviving his killing spree forty years earlier. This slasher is the eleventh move in the Halloween series and is sure to give you nightmares.
5. The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) – This stop-animation film is a cult classic that is sure to bring smiles to the whole family. With its elements of fantasy and music, Jack Skellington takes over Christmas with musical numbers, romance, and holiday cheer. Produced by Tim Burton, the movie earned critical success and it is known as a classic Christmas and Halloween movie.
