“I got my start helping at the Prairiland Project Graduation haunted house while in High School…” -David Crossland, owner of Afterlife Adventure Park in Blossom, Texas.

Afterlife in Blossom, Texas will be open every weekend this month offering thrills of a lifetime in celebration of Halloween.

Owner, David Crossland, first got his passion for providing creative thrills in high school at Prairiland when he was younger. He’s been in and out of the game ever since, but now with Afterlife, there’s a whole new vision and innovative thrills coming to our area.

“We are entering our sixth season at Afterlife and I have no intentions of slowing down this time,” said Crossland.

Crossland boasted of the amazing crew behind the scenes that work tirelessly to make changes and improvements to Afterlife. He reflected on all the changes made in the last year and how surreal of a feeling it is when they can stand back as a team and see how far they have come.

“The actors are a key part of our show as well, they are the ones that make this all come to life. Without them, it’s just a really cool set,” said Crossland.

Crossland has made it a goal to bring in forms of entertainment to the area that aren’t already here. While haunted houses are not a new idea, he aims to take a different approach and expand far behind what’s typical. Afterlife offered zombie paintball attractions for several years, and have now retired that to bring citizens additional terrifying attractions, so terrifying you will have to see for yourself.

“It’s always fun after a show to sit around with the team and brag about the coolest scares of the night. Of course, we always have a good laugh when we make someone wet their pants a little or when someone is so scared they run straight through the set and all the way to their car without stopping!” said Crossland.

Afterlife has a commitment to always push for different events and entertainment throughout the year, not just in October. “We have several ideas that are in the research stage and hopefully those will come to light in the near future. You never know what we will come up with!” said Crossland.
