Raymond Allen Mahar, Jr., 59 of Euless, passed away on September 20, 2022 in Petty, Texas

A graveside service has been set for, Friday, September 30, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery 10977 Harry Hines Blvd Dallas, TX 75220 with his sister, Chaplain Debbie Kaye Mahar-Jolly officiating.  No visitation has been set.

Ray was born on October 31, 1962 in Goshen, Indiana to Raymond Allen Sr. and Carol Hess Mahar. Ray and his wife, Sherri were married for 41 years, they originally met in Irving, Texas in 1978 and lived there until they relocated to Euless, TX to their current home in 1996. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes with his friends and grandkids and watching Motocross on TV. Ray enjoyed going on street bike rides with his wife Sherri and their friends, they both owned Spyders.  Over the past few months, he also enjoyed taking his 2 grandsons on the Spyders for a day ride to sightsee and take pictures. He enjoyed boating and fishing and camping in the RV with his wife Sherri and the grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Sherri Reiter Mahar; son, Raymond Allen Mahar, III and his wife Rhonda Renee’ Mahar of Grapevine; grandchildren, Aubrey Shea Mahar, Trevor Ray Mahar, Trent Allen Mahar, and Trinity Mahar all of Grapevine; mother, Carol Jean Hess-Burdine of Mesquite; brother, James Scott Mahar of Watauga; sister, Debbie Kaye Mahar-Jolly of Waco; nephews, Ryan Anthony Mahar of Joshua, Adam Joshua Mahar of Crawford; niece, Amber Shaunte’ Mahar of Dodd City; 4 great-nephews and 2 great-nieces, Alexys, James, Jaden, Kyleigh, Jordan, and Jaxon; Many cousins that currently reside in Indiana and Iowa

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Allen Mahar, Sr.
