Routine traffic stop leads to felony arrest

Paris Police officers stopped a vehicle in the 300 block of Bonham St for speeding at 9:21 p.m. on Sept. 12, 2022.
A passenger in the vehicle, Jamarius DeShun Bellamy, of Paris, was found to have an outstanding felony warrant charging him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to Paris PD Officer, Curtis Garrett, “the warrant stemmed from an incident in July where it was reported that Bellamy assault his girlfriend.”
Bellamy was arrested and later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
