Paris/Lamar County gearing up for annual Redneck Golf Tournament
It’s time for the Paris/Lamar County Redneck Golf Open coming to Pine Ridge Golf Course on Saturday, Sept. 17, with all proceeds helping Habitat build build homes.
Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit working in more than 70 countries — they have helped more than 39 million people improve their living conditions since 1976.
Habitat works together with families, local communities, volunteers and partners from around the world and in local communities so that more people are able to live in affordable and safe homes. Their advocacy efforts focus on policy reform to remove systemic barriers preventing low-income and historically underserved families from accessing adequate, affordable shelter.
This week Habitat is still seeking sponsors and teams for this 13th annual event. All proceeds will go to the county Habitat office. For information call the Habitat office at 903-783-0599.
