‘The Sandwich Season’ provides free lunch and information

The Alzheimer’s Association and the United Way of Lamar County are presenting a free Lunch and Learn “The Sandwich Season” focused on caring for growing children and aging parents.  
This free event will be held Friday, September 23rd from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at CFParis, 3410 N. Main Street in Paris.  Lunch will be provided and space is limited, so please register at tinyurl.com/ParisALZ or call 1-800-272-3900.
Speakers include Ruth Brown, LBSW, LNFA, a community educator with the Alzheimer’s Association and Pam Kovacs Johnson, author of Did I Remember to Tell You.  This educational lunch will explain recognizing the early signs of dementia, strategies for coping with guilt and emotions and provide local resources for caregivers as well as have questions answered by a panel of local experts.
The September 23rd event is sponsored by Embark Care, On Call Home Health and Hospice, the Copeland Insurance Group and Visiting Angels.
