Shirley Ann Meredith, age 74, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 22, 2022.

Funeral services have been set for Friday, August 26, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. at Life Community Church.  The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.

Shirley was born September 20, 1947, in Paris, Texas to parents, Roy and Florence Nutt McClain.  She enjoyed working in the public and making people laugh and smile. She loved everyone and always made them feel special. Shirley loved doing for others and would do without to help someone in need. Shirley loved road trips and going to church, but most of all, being with her family.

She is survived by her brother, Donald Day and wife, Gloria of Paris, TX; her children, Rose Stanfield and husband Jack of Hutchinson, KS, Cynthia Meredith of Powderly, TX, Barbara Carson and husband, Barry of Quinlan, TX, Wesley Meredith and wife, Melanie of Powderly, TX, Johnny Meredith Jr. (Chicken) and wife, Lori of Paris, TX; stepdaughter, Julie Burton of Blossom, TX and stepson, John Burton of Paris, TX; 11 grandchildren, J.D. and John Stanfield, Brandon Horton, Ashley Hildreth, Kevin Peters, CJ Lem, Marissa Graves, Jordan and Justin Meredith, Matthew and Aaron Meredith; 12 great-grandchildren, JoJo, Jackson, Austin, Layla, Natalie, Henry, Harry, Noah, Jennifer, Sheila, Georgia and Gracelyn; a special friend, Kelly McDowell and numerous extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mom and stepdad, Florence and Doyle Tucker; dad, Roy McClain; her sisters, Peggy Millsap, Patsy Mitchell and Vickie Reves.
