Billy John Colwell, 87, of Roxton passed away, July 31, 2022, in Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2022, with Rev. James Barnes officiating in the Restland Cemetery in Roxton.

He was born on December 25, 1934, in Roxton a son of Roy P. and Margie Mitchell Colwell. He was retired from the VA Hospital in Dallas and the US Postal Service. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam war.

He is survived by his son, Jimmy Colwell; 2 grandsons; sister, Edith Rickman and 4 brothers, James Colwell, Roy Colwell, Garry Colwell and Kenneth Colwell.
