• Paris police responded to a disturbance in the 400 block of Grand Ave at 6:48 P.M. on July 28, 2022. The victim reported that she had been in an argument with a neighbor and the neighbor had left the argument and went to their apartment. The neighbor returned a few minutes later with a machete and threatened the victim. A witness confirmed the story and officers arrested 43-year-old Lamesha Shimshe McCleary and charged her with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The victim was not injured in the altercation. McCleary was later booked and transferred to the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to 95 calls for service and arrested three people on July 28, 2022.
