A juvenile is in custody after he allegedly assaulted his stepfather and then turned his rage onto the officers responding to the assault call.
Around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Paris police officers were called to the 1700 block of West Henderson Street for a family disturbance. When officers arrived, they were told the juvenile hit his stepfather in his =right eye with the end of a BB gun pistol, causing visible injury.
According to Alice Webb of the police department, the juvenile disregarded all police commands.
“He hit one officer in the back with a broom handle, breaking the handle in half,” Webb said. “He then bit that same officer on his right forearm, breaking the skin. The juvenile then head-butted another officer while being placed in the patrol unit.”
The juvenile was arrested for assault causing bodily injury with family violence, assault of a public servant, and resisting arrest. He was later transferred to Grayson County Juvenile Detention Center.
