Paris police are investigating an unusual attempted robbery on Monday.
Around 7 p.m., police were called to the 3800 block of Lamar Avenue for a reported attempted robbery. According to Curtis Garrett of the Paris Police Department, the victim said they were vacuuming their vehicle when they were approached by the suspect.
“A person wearing a paper bag over their head, a white bedsheet as a robe, and 2-liter bottles as shoes pulled out a large pocket knife and said, ‘Sorry, but I have to rob you.’,” Garrett explained.
The victim quickly pulled out a pistol and the suspect fled the scene. The incident is under investigation.
