Prairiland FFA attends Texas FFA State Convention || Content sponsored by Quality Care ER

The Prairiland FFA attended the 94th annual Texas FFA State Convention in Fort Worth last week, July 11-15. Students attended the general sessions and served as voting delegates where they voted on the new 2022-2023 Texas FFA State Officer team. They also enjoyed a Mike Ryan concert, voted on Talent Teams, and had a fun team-building night at The Main Event.
Keeley Webb, Cadie Gray, and Reese Bassano received their State Lonestar FFA Degrees on Wednesday, and Reese was recognized at the Stars Over Texas Banquet for competing for the Star Lonestar degree in Placement. Jessica Francis was recognized for receiving the $8,000 Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo Scholarship on Thursday. Reese Bassano, Ethan Adams, Aubree Phillips, and Keeley Webb competed in the State FFA Ag Quiz Bowl on Tuesday and advanced to the second round. In addition to this, Prairiland students participated in the state-wide community service project called “Stock the Backpack,” where the students filled backpacks with school supplies for kids in need.
The Texas FFA Convention recorded a record-high attendance of over 15,000 members and guests making it the largest state convention in the nation.
