Paris police investigate kidnapping of child

Paris police officers and detectives are investigating after a 12-year-old boy was kidnapped on Wednesday.

According to Curtis Garrett of the Paris Police Department, officers responded to the kidnapping call at 4:55 p.m.

“The 12-year-old victim reported that he was in the vicinity of the 300 block of W. Provine Street after getting off the school bus,” Garrett explained.

It was at this time the boy said two men in a black van grabbed him, put a hood over his head, and put him in the van.

“The victim stated he fell out of the back doors of the van around the 600 block of 7th Street N.W. and the van drove away,” Garrett added.
