Paris Police responded to a burglary of a residence in the 600 block of SE 3rd St at 8:08 A.M. on June 24, 2022. The victim reported that the house is under renovation and the only things that were in the residence were some of the contractor’s tools. Entry was made by forcing the front door open sometime after 5:35 P.M. on June 23rd. Numerous tools were stolen that were valued at nearly $2,000. The investigation continues.
At 2:56 A.M. on June 27, 2022, Paris Police responded to an aggravated assault that caused a serious bodily injury that had occurred in the 1200 block of SE 15th St and met with the victim at the PRMC emergency room. The 41-year-old victim reported that she and her husband had been arguing all day and he hit her in the mouth causing a laceration and loose teeth. The incident is under investigation.
Paris Police responded to 187 calls for service and arrested only 2 persons over the weekend.
