JUST IN: Roe v. Wade has been overturned

In a landmark decision, the Supreme Court of the United States has struck down Roe v. Wade. This eliminates the nearly-50-year-old constitutional right to abortions. It also allows states to limit or ban the procedure altogether.
The decision, which was reached by a majority of conservative justices, will reshape American society by blocking large portions of the population from terminating unwanted pregnancies.
The ruling also upholds Mississippi’s 15-week abortion ban, which directly clashed with Roe’s requirement that states permit abortion up to the point of fetal viability, around 24 weeks.
