An orange Kubota tractor was reported stolen from the 1900 block of SE 6th St at  9:24 A.M. on June 21, 2022. The victim reported that the unknown suspect(s) had cut the chain and lock off of the gate to gain access to the property. The victim said that the tractor had been stolen sometime within the past 18 hours. The investigation continues. 

At 10:58 A.M. on June 21, 2022, Paris Police spoke with a victim of a fraud. The victim reported that they had let a friend use their debit card to purchase insurance online and since that time, someone had attempted to make a purchase at a local restaurant using the debit card. The victim also believes that the suspect has hacked into his phone. The incident is under investigation. 

Officers responded to fraud in the 600 block of Bonham St at 2:44 P.M. on June 21,  2022. The store clerk reported that they had received information from their bank that 6- $50 bills that were in their deposit were deemed to be fraudulent. The bank confirmed that the bills were found to be fraudulent when placed in the counting machine which scans each bill. The incident is under investigation. 

At 6:27 P.M. on June 21, 2022, Paris Police spoke with a victim of a fraud. The victim reported that they had used the same tax service for the past several years. The victim  advised that they had checked with the tax preparer several time throughout the year and  had been told that their refund for the 2021 return had been delayed by the IRS. The victim reported that the same thing occurred this year. The victim called and checked with the IRS  and was told that their refunds had been sent to the preparer for the past 2 years. The incidents are under investigation. 

Paris Police responded to 79 calls for service and arrested 1 person on June 21, 2022.
