Early Wednesday morning the Honey Grove Police Department responded to a call reporting a missing juvenile. A missing person alert was provided Wednesday afternoon, and an AMBER ALERT was issued by DPS Wednesday night and canceled Thursday morning after Arlington police found the missing 13-year-old with Nolan Neighbors, 31, in Arlington.

Arlington police said they followed up on a tip and found the victim at an apartment complex in the 700 block of Trinity Circle. They said there were other people at the apartment besides the teen and Neighbors.
Nolan Neighbors is being held in the Arlington City Jail on one count of harboring a runaway. Additional charges are possible, pending further investigation from the Arlington Police Department, Honey Grove Police Department, and Fannin County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives said they believe Neighbors and the teen chatted online and arranged to meet, which is what brought them to Arlington. How the teen made it over one hundred miles to Arlington is part of the investigation.  The teen’s mother came home from work late Tuesday night, couldn’t locate her daughter, and called the police immediately.

The teen is now safely back home with her family.

Law Enforcement encourages parents to closely monitor their children’s social media and phone activities.
