Police investigate after child claims he was assaulted by a daycare worker

Police are investigating after they say a five-year-old child claims he was assaulted by a teacher/daycare worker.

According to Alice Webb of the Paris Police Department, the assault was reported to have happened in the 2000 block of FM 79, when a teacher/daycare worker allegedly grabbed the five-year-old by the chin, forced his head back, and grabbed him by the throat.

The assault reportedly happened last Thursday and the report was made Friday morning. The incident is under investigation.
