Mt. Pleasant police officials are seeking the public’s help with finding the suspects involved in a shots fired call at Walmart on Thursday evening.
“Around 8:30 p.m., the MPPD responded to Walmart on a report of shots fired,” said Mark Buhman. “When we got there, a witness reported seeing two vehicles – a blue, four-door passenger vehicle, and a white, four-door passenger vehicle – parked in the northwest corner of the parking lot.”
Buhman said the blue vehicle was driven by a Black male with dreadlocks and a handgun.
“As the white car drove away, that male fired several rounds toward it,” Buhman explained. “We found over a dozen shell casings along the north fence line of the Walmart parking lot, closer to the gas pumps than the store.”
No arrests have been made, but Buhman said officials are still looking for any information regarding the involved parties that the public may have in order to resolve the case.
Those with information can call the police department at 903-575-4004.
