Guy William Younger, 48, of Paris, was arrested at his residence at 3:20 P.M. on June  8, 2022, on a felony warrant charging him with publishing or threatening to publish intimate photographs. The warrant stemmed from a May 2022 investigation. Younger was later placed in the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police stopped a vehicle for having a defective headlight in the 10 block of NE  13th St at 11:26 P.M. on June 8, 2022. During the investigation, a back passenger gave a false name to the officer. 41-year-old Eric Dewayne Dillard, of Paris, was arrested and charged with fail to identify while being a wanted person by giving a false name. He was found to have outstanding felony warrants charging him with manufacture or deliver a controlled substance of more than 4 grams but less than 200 grams, evading arrest or detention with a previous conviction, and two felony bail jumping and fail to appear warrants. A female passenger also gave a false name but was later identified as 29-year-old Cassandra Leigh  Walker, of Paris. Walker was found to have an outstanding felony probation violation warrant on a credit card or debit card abuse conviction. During the arrest, Walker was  found to be in possession of methamphetamine. She was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance and fail to identify as a fugitive. Both Dillard and  Walker were later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 100 block of NE 11th St at  12:38 A.M. on June 9, 2022. The report reflects that a 52-year-old male had been run over by his own vehicle while on private property. The vehicle’s key assembly had been disassembled and while the vehicle was running and in park, had slipped into gear and had rolled forward and ran over the male. The male was transported to PRMC for treatment. He was placed in ICU and is in critical condition. The investigation continues.

Paris Police responded to a report of a suspicious person call in the 100 block of SW  41st St where a white male was knocking on a door. Officers located 41-year-old John  Wesley Womack, of Paris, at the roadside park. Womack was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. He was also found to have two misdemeanor bond surrender warrants out of Lamar County. Womack was arrested and later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
