An All Points “Bull”etin was issued recently by Mt. Pleasant police after a bull escaped a meat processing plant.
According to officials with the Mt. Pleasant Police Department, the bull escaped from a meat processing plant in the northern area of town Friday morning around 8 a.m.
Lieutenant Mark Miller said the bull traveled a little more than 15 blocks over the course of an hour before he was caught by ranch hands around 9 a.m. The bull was spotted by passers-by near Edwards and 15 streets.
MPPD officers pursued the bull up to Fair Park, where it became cornered behind a livestock barn. Ranch hands from the meat processing plant rounded him up shortly before 9 a.m. and took the bull back to the plant.
No injuries were reported.
