Blue Bell creates new flavor: Chocolate Peanut Butter Overload

Blue Bell has created a new flavor that will make its debut in stores today: Chocolate Peanut Butter Overload.

The new flavor is a milk chocolate ice cream that’s been packed with chocolate-coated peanut butter cups and peanut butter cookie dough pieces, the company said.

“Anyone who loves the combination of chocolate and peanut butter should make a detour to their nearest grocery store and grab a carton of our new ice cream as soon as possible,” said Joe Robertson, executive director of advertising & marketing for Blue Bell. “Our Milk Chocolate Ice Cream blends perfectly with the chocolate-coated peanut butter cups, and the peanut butter cookie dough pieces add another level of flavor. It is double the chocolate and double the peanut butter perfectly mixed together in one carton!”

The new flavor is available today in half-gallon and pint sizes for a limited time, Blue Bell said on Twitter.

Two other new flavors are available this month including Bride’s Cake and Southern Blackberry Cobbler, which returns to stores in the half-gallon size. The Bride’s Cake is described as an almond ice cream with white cake pieces that are surrounded by an amaretto cream cheese icing – it’s available in pint and half-gallon sizes. The Southern Blackberry Cobbler, available in half-gallon sizes, is a creamy ice cream with a blackberry flavor that’s combined with flaky pie crust pieces and a blackberry sauce swirl.
