Mt. Pleasant woman takes plea deal for killing husband

A Mt. Pleasant woman has accepted a plea deal after stabbing her husband, Roberto Espinoza, to death in 2019.
Araceli Espinoza was presented with a plea bargain by Titus County prosecutors in connection with her husband’s stabbing death. The deal presented would allow her to plead guilty not to murder, but to manslaughter. She accepted, and was sentenced to eight years in prison.
The murder happened in March of 2019 at Oak Lawn Apartments.
