Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 3:48 pm:  

Officer responded to a call of a burglary in the 2200 block of FM 79. A rear window, approximately 10 inches by 10 inches had been broken and determined to be the forced point of entry. Only a very small suspect could have entered through the opening. Once inside; the suspect opened cabinets and drawers and gave an unknowingly empty antique cash register a beating with a blunt tool, destroying it, apparently looking for money. No items were reported as stolen. The incident will be investigated.

Officers responded to a disturbance call in the 1000 block of South East 13th Street. The victim reported that her common-law husband had restricted her airway, making it difficult to breathe. Sequentially Jason Seth Westbrook was arrest for Assault Family/House Member Impede Breath or Circulation/Family Violence and an outstanding Lamar County Warrant for Motion to Revoke  Probation-Burglary of a Building.

Thursday, April 21 2022 at 11:43 pm;

Officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of College Street in reference to a disturbance. Dispatch advised that some type of disturbance could be heard in the background; sounding like a male and female arguing inside a vehicle. The male was heard making a statement about guns. Officer asked the male subject to exit the vehicle. A semi-automatic handgun was located inside the vehicle. The handgun, a purse and cash had been reported stolen to Paris PD on July 2, 2018, from a victim dining at a restaurant in the 3500 NE Loop 286. Michael Deondray Waller was charged with Theft of  Firearm. Waller’s criminal history detailed a felony conviction, leading to a second charge of Unlawful  Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

Thursday, April 22 2022 at 3:00 am;

Officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of Lamar Avenue in reference to a security check. Officer made contact with three victims reporting to have been walking westbound in the 1300 block Lamar  Avenue, when unknown suspects in a dark-colored vehicle with a dragging bumper pulled a gun on them and made verbal threats. The incident is under investigation.  

Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 10:31 am:

Officer was dispatched to the 4100 block of Misty Lane in reference to a suspicious person. Dispatch stated a black male subject was asking people strange questions and stalking. Charles Ray Miles Jr. was arrested for a Parole Violation and booked into to the Paris Police Department Jail.

Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 11:41 am:

Joe Dean Barnett Jr. was arrested in the 2700 block of Lamar Avenue for an outstanding warrant out of Lamar County Sheriff’s Office for Possession of Controlled Substance less than 1 gram and booked into to the Paris Police Department Jail.

The Paris Police Department responded to 65 calls for service and Arrested 6 adult persons.
