A shortage of baby formula is happening across shelves nationwide. In fact, 40 percent of popular baby formula brands are sold out at retailers across the state and 30 percent across the U.S., according to estimates from Datasembly – a Virginia-based research firm.

The research firm assessed the supplies of packaged goods at more than 11,000 stores across the U.S., and found that the issue of out-of-stock formula has been getting worse throughout the year so far. In contrast, the first seven months of 2021 were relatively stable when it came to baby formula and fluctuated between 2 – 8 percent of products being listed as out of stock.

“In July 2021, the (out-of-stock percentage) moved into the double digits and then started to increase significantly towards the end of November where it went from 11% nationwide to 23% by the week starting Jan 16, 2022,” the firm said.

Fast forward to the end of January 2022, and the out-of-stock baby formula index has continued to climb sky-high to about 30 percent by mid-March, and more than 40 percent in Texas.

The shortages follow multiple popular infant formula recalls linked to bacterial contamination. Not only that, but supply chain shortages and inflation have also brought an unprecedented amount of volatility to the subject. In fact, baby formula is one of the most affected categories in the market, the firm added.

Bad new, good news! On the surface, this seems like bad news – but it’s good news, because babies should NOT be fed those crappy, toxic formulas that set them up for suffering and diseases. Babies ONLY need breast milk (just like every other mammal in the world), but if there’s issues with the mother, then raw goat milk is the next best thing. These are the ONLY food that should ever enter a baby’s mouth.
