Downtown Stop Sign Study continues || Drivers encouraged to take survey

The 90-day Downtown Stop Sign study continues and drivers are encouraged to take the survey.
According to officials with the City of Paris, they are conducting this study to further the implementation of the adopted downtown revitalization plan in order to restore the original two-way traffic system from the current one-way system on all streets going into and out of downtown.
The plan includes placing stop signs at many intersections in and leading up to downtown. The traffic signals at those locations will change to “flashing red” to simulate an all-way stop condition.

Downtown has been totally messed up, don’t go unless I have to. The stop signs are so confusing, will cause many accidents!!
Actually, as a downtown business owner, the stop signs have GREATLY reduced the speed and we have seen much less dangerous conditions for both drivers and pedestrians. As for the parking, I believe parallel parking is more difficult for some. With modern backup cameras, the nose-in parking was never a problem.
I do not like the stop signs at all. The lights work so much better especially at 4 way stops. I avoid down town as much as possible and I know of many others that do also. Not just downtown but streets leading toward downtown, where you are required to stop at every street. I do not know why this change was made but in my opinion it was very foolish and very costly.
