Paris Police Investigators and officers executed a search warrant on a residence in the 800 block of S Main St at 4:42 P.M. on March 31, 2022. Officers located methamphetamine, marijuana, and 2 handguns inside the residence. Arrested were 41-year-old Roderick Dion Walters and 38-year-old Denise Tomore Mayfield. Both were charged with manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance of more than 4 grams but less than 200 grams, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of marijuana of less than 2 ounces. One of the firearms had the serial number filed off of it and both were additionally charged with tampering with identification numbers. Mayfield was found to have an outstanding misdemeanor family violence assault warrant. Both are awaiting to be transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
