Paris Fire Department Captain Matthew Barbee and firefighter Logan Lane were both sent to the wildfires in Eastland County to help fight the fires on Wednesday of last week and remain there today.
“[They] were mobilized as part of a TIFMAS response to McGregor, Texas, on Wednesday,” said Paris Fire Department Chief Thomas McMonigle.
McMonigle said TIGMAS positioned strike teams in several locations preparing for potential wildfire outbreaks.
“Soon after arrived in McGregor, they were assigned to the Walling Fire in Eastland County – just south of Cisco, Texas,” he added. “They have been there ever since.”
As many have already seen, that area of Texas is enduring devastating, fast-moving fires and needs all the help they can get.
