William Mitchell went home to be with the Lord and unite with his family on March 3, 2022. He was born in Shaw, Mississippi, on October 26, 1937, to parents, W.A. and Katherine Ruth Mitchell.

He grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, and married Bonnie Rice Ragsdale. The couple had two children: Katherine and David.

“Bill” graduated in 1962 from the University of Tennessee Dental School and practiced dentistry until his retirement.

He met and married Sue Mack in 1983 and they were married for 39 years.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Sue, and her son, Michael Bond.

He is survived by his daughter, Katherine Doris Mitchell Wright; grandson, Brian Daniel Wright; and his son, David Mitchell.

According to his wishes, no services are planned. Cremation is in the care of Fry Gibbs Funeral Home.
