Disturbance call turns to shooting overnight

Paris Police responded to a disturbance in the 100 block of SE 21st St at 3:15 a.m. on Sunday
Feb. 27, 2022.

The victim reported that they had had a party at the residence and during the party, two guests had had a physical fight.

The victim said that after the altercation, one of the person’s involved in the altercation left and returned with a handgun. The suspect then fired a bullet through the door and then entered the residence.

The suspect then fired a second bullet into the floor and threatened the other person that
was involved in the altercation. Both persons then left the scene before the officers arrived.
The incident is under investigation.
