Wreck on US-82 leaves one dead

A wreck on US-82, just three miles east of Petty, left one person dead.
According to Texas Highway Patrol Media Representative Josue De La Cerda, the wreck involved a 2021 Chevrolet 2500 and a Mahindra 8000 tractor.
“The two were traveling westbound on US-82 when the driver of the Chevrolet struck the Mahindra tractor from behind,” he said. “The driver of the Mahindra tractor was ejected during the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
Cerda said this is an ongoing investigation and no additional information is available. We will inform our readers when we receive more information.
