Nell Farley was born on January 21, 1933, in Lamar County to parents, Johnie and Willie Mae Thompson. She married James Thomas Farley in Texarkana on December 17, 1949, and remained married until his passing. Nell was a member of the Pathway Church of God and mother to; James Rickey Farley, Tommy Lawrence Farley and Brenda Farley Daniel. She was grandmother to 6 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Nell was preceded in death by her husband, James; brother, A.O. Thompson and sisters, Johnie Mae Poole and Lillie C. Thompson.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren and her brother, Joe R. Thompson.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 26 at 2:00 PM at Red Hill Cemetery in Powderly.
