For the fifth year, the Paris Balloon and Music Festival will fill the Lamar County Fairgrounds, 570 E. Center Street in Paris, on September 9-10, with morning flights Sept. 11-12.
This year, there will be features such as tethered balloon rides, live music each night, market and food vendors, exotic animals petting zoo, kids fun zone, paint competitions, and so much more, ending with a balloon glow (weather permitting).
Officials are now looking for balloon crew volunteers for both the morning balloon launches and the evening balloon glows.
“The success of our Paris Balloon and Music Festival is in large part due to our volunteers,” officials said. “We appreciate volunteers who come out to the festival, meet new people and have a great time. Men, women, and young adults generously volunteer their time and energy to make sure the event runs smoothly and that our guests have an awesome time.”
Officials said these volunteers will help before, during, and after the event.
“They provide guest services, balloon coordination and safety, set-up and logistics,” officials added. “The variety of needs allows just about any person, with any skills, talents, or interests to experience the Balloon Festival from a new perspective.”
Musical lineups have not yet been announced. Tickets are required to enter.
