North Lamar’s Emeri Watson signs to play for Austin College

North Lamar High School’s three-year varsity soccer player Emeri Watson has signed a national letter of intent to play soccer for the Austin College Kangaroos beginning in 2022-23. Pictured supporting Emeri at her signing left to right, are her coaches, Selena Davis and Michael Pointer, and her parents Pat and Sheila Watson.

Emeri has played soccer since she was five years old, including locally for the Paris Soccer Association and club soccer in Dallas.  She has been a starter for North Lamar’s varsity team since the tenth grade, playing forward and mid-field.

Austin College participates in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference at the NCAA Division III level.

Coach Selena Davis said, “Emeri has been a great player and leader for our team and I am very excited to watch her excel for the ‘Roos over the next four years.”
