Early voting starts today for March primaries

Officials with the Lamar County Elections Office are encouraging voters to come in early this election season in order to avoid the potential long lines on election day, March 1, 2022.
Early voting started this morning at 8 a.m. and through 5 p.m. each day through Friday, Feb. 18; Saturday, Feb. 19, voting is open 9 a.m. through 1 p.m., and again Tuesday, Feb. 22-Friday Feb. 25, from 8 a.m. through 5 p.m. Early voting is closed on Monday, Feb. 21, due to the holiday.
As always, early voting is held at the County Services Building, courthouse annex at 231 Lamar Avenue).
