On February 9th, 2022 Martha Sue Allen went to be with her Lord and Savior. Martha was born October 2nd, 1946 to Kenneth and Jessie Lee Allen. She married Gary Huddleston and they had two sons Allen and Randy who were her world. Most of her life was spent working at the quick stop in Deport, which she owned as A & R Quick Stop, then as Allen’s Food Mart when she sold it to her son whom she worked alongside for years. When she retired from the store, she spent the next few years caring for her granddaughters, Ally and Hope, as their nanny. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Stacy Huddleston, four grandchildren, Charity Phillips and husband Brandon of Paris, Ally Jones and husband Dustyn of Paris, Hope Huddleston of Paris, and Ryan Huddleston of Lubbock. Three great-grandchildren, Casen and Ashlynn Byrd of Paris, and Charlee Jones of Paris. Two sisters, her twin, Linda Driggers and husband Don of Paris and Rhonda Dockery and husband Jerry of Paris, a sister-in-law Ruth Ann Allen of Deport, a brother, Roger and Anna Beth Allen of Deport. Numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Jessie Lee, her brothers, Kenneth Harold and John Allen, her former husband turned friend, Gary Huddleston, and her boys, Allen and Randy Huddleston.

The family would like to give a special thank you to her nurse, Amber, and the staff at Stillhouse Nursing home for taking care of her during her final days. Pallbearers are Zachary and Dustin Allen, Aaron and Kent Driggers, Berney, Clayton, Cortney, and Jared Huddleston. Honorary pallbearers are Ryan Huddleston and Casen Byrd. Services will be held at First Baptist Church in Deport on Saturday, February 12th at 11, with the family receiving friends an hour prior.
